Who is behind ExamStep

ExamStep is an independent English-exam practice platform operated from British Columbia, Canada. It exists for one reason: the hardest part of preparing for a test like CELPIP or TOEFL is not finding questions, it is finding out honestly how you would have been marked — before test day, and in enough detail to fix something.

Each practice test here follows the real exam's clock, its task types and the way its screens are laid out. Reading and Listening are marked against an answer key. Writing and Speaking are rated on the criteria each exam publishes and reported on that exam's own scale — a CLB level for CELPIP, a band for TOEFL and IELTS, a 10–90 score with its CLB level for PTE Core — along with the particular sentences that kept the score from going higher.

All questions and practice material on ExamStep are written by ExamStep. We have no affiliation with Paragon Testing Enterprises, Educational Testing Service, the IELTS partners or Pearson, or the official CELPIP®, TOEFL®, IELTS® and PTE® tests, none of which endorses or approves us — and every page says so.
